Examiner News writes "On Wednesday, President Barack Obama will issue the nation's most comprehensive gun control package in history. On Jan. 15, the Gun Owners of America (GOA) issued a statement detailing some of the firearms restrictions that the federal government plans to impose:

Up to 50 percent of long guns and up to 80 percent of handguns in total circulation will be affected. The federal government estimates that there are over 300 million privately-held firearms in the United States and its territories."
