Yeah, I feel exactly zero sympathy for anyone who bought any Sony products knowing how willing they are to screw their customers. If people actually valued the idea of being able to "own" the bits you pay for, you would not own a console. Hell, a person doesn't "own" a console anyway... it is "rented" with the ability for MS/Sony to brick it for any reason.
If people were smart, they would sell their consoles for a crazy low price, just to crater the used market, and then push for PC games. While games on consoles will be rendered gone, I can still use the CDs and DVDs I bought for Windows games, or run the installer that Steam provi
same here
back in 2016 I decided to no longer spend a single dime on steam games because of drm and because I discovered GOG
now I buy games on GOG exclusively... no DRM and if GOG goes away then I can still play the games that I bought
if a game is not on GOG then I do not buy it

Steam won't just go away. It will be sold, and your Steam DRM removal patch will never happen.
I have Steam games, but I don't expect them to become non-Steam games, ever. I just don't spend anything on them I'm not willing to lose.
