Max Payne 2 Previewed 31

The first previews of Max Payne 2 have hit the web. GameSpot has their first look up. Additionally, the good folks over at GameSpy have their take on it up as well. The folks at Remedy and Rockstar describe the sequel as a "film noir love story," and as previously mentioned, Max will have a love interest this time around.

The man who was the model for Max's face in the first game was Remedy programmer Sam Lake. Apparently they felt that they'd rather have him working fully on the game instead of flying him to NY for a day or two for head scans and pictures. I'm quite bummed at the fact that Max's face has changed, but I guess there's nothing we can do at this point.

The GOOD news is that the voice actor (which was not Mr. Lake in the first game) will remain the same. So at least it'll sound like good ol' Max...

I believe his point was that many people would rather make prequels, thus leaving the ending to be just that.

I'm mixed on the idea. If they could pull it off, more power to them. But I'm sure they realize that if they fark this one over, it'll bring the franchise down with it.
