Microsoft Surprises Gamers With 'Halo Infinite' Multiplayer Launch

Microsoft said "Halo Infinite," the latest edition of the best-selling Xbox alien-shooter game, will be available starting Nov. 15 for multiplayer gaming. From a report: The company, celebrating the 20th anniversary of the release of the original Xbox console and the first Halo game, said the first season of the game's multiplayer mode will begin Monday with a public test version on personal computers and consoles.

Why are you surprised? Many fans complained about how the graphics were terrible [screenrant.com] in the gameplay footage and the game looked like it was made for consoles several generations ago not the new Series X. Microsoft delayed the launch to improve on the graphics among other things. MS had plans to launch the game at the same time as the Series X launch but that might have been disastrous.

I'm surprised because there's still a lot missing, and parts of the game still look like what you would see on the Xbox 360. It feels like they're going to have to work on this for the long haul like Master Chief Collection which launched so broken that they had to patch it the entire generation to get it to a decent state.
