Wario Ware GameCube Craziness Explored 11

Thanks to IGN Cube for their article revealing new details from the forthcoming GameCube version of Wario Ware, as Nintendo's GameBoy Advance title "emphasizes multiplayer gaming through various new modes" in its GameCube translation. Among the wacked-out multiplayer modes are 'Listen To The Doctor', in which "...you follow the instructions of a doctor who'll tell you, among other things, to squat [in real life] while playing. Your fellow players can push buttons to rate your performance. In the end, the player with highest rating wins." The article is also accompanied by some amusingly skewed scanned screenshots, revealing some very similar gameplay to the GBA original, but with added four-player flavor.

I have tried the original Wario Ware on GBA, and it is quite a nice game indeed. It consists of dozens of simple yet addictive mini-games. The mini-games require no learning curve, you can pick it up easily during a coffee break. I sincerely welcome the multiplayer version, would be nice to play against my friends.
  • It would be nice to see some decent screenshots. These just seem to be loading screens. In fact they're shots of characters watching loading screens.
  • The word Twister springs to mind..I mean, a virtual doctor telling you to sqaut? on who? and more importantly...why? and mr crack...you are forgetting that all Anime is made by cartoonists on crack to encourage the use of crack, and thus creating more people on crack to watch their sick cartoons for people on crack so they get earn more money to buy more crack....
  • Great. I can't see the screenshots because the flash animation ign forces me to watch is broken.
Broken flash -> no magic cookie -> sent back to watch advert again. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  • The slow load times of CD-ROM games is why cartridge consoles rock, even though there's no longer a modern cartridge alternative. Zero rotational delay!
  • Nintendo has traditionally done some odd things, but I think this even beats out "The Glove" and "gyromite" as being the oddest. It is weird to see people playing that stupid dancing game using something similar to "The Mat" that nintendo had 15-something years ago.
