  • Is it just me or is Diablo II waiting for this same patch number and for a lot longer?

... for the first git that uses this article to promote a boycott of Blizzard over the BnetD thing.

Blizzard has made some changes to their file formats, so many of the user-made maps which contain custom spells (such as Defense of the Ancients or DAOC Battlegrounds) are broken until further notice due to this patch. Too bad we don't have the option to not upgrade and still play online.
    • Fucking use map settings maps ruined Starcraft and half-ruin Warcraft III.

    • Too bad we don't have the option to not upgrade and still play online.

If Blizzard allowed that then there would be no point in updating security in patches since all the hackers would just use the old version of the program.

  • Blizzard added all the cool features from The Forzen Throne to War3 classic in this patch ,though that one may expect Blizzard to keep them for the expansion to sell more, kudos to Blizzard.
  • With the promised released of D2 v1.10 no where to be seen, it seems almost as if they are mocking their fan base by calling this patch 1.10. I mean, if it's such a significant upgrade, call it 2.0. Does 1.10 really have any significance? It's like, we'll update WC3 long before we think of you nerds! You've ruined our claim of a hack free b.net and now we're ruining your lives by holding a patch on the end of a stick right in front of you. C'mon, play just a little longer and you'll get it... lose a little

The headline for this story, which contains the words "patch", "1.10", and "released", caused three Diablo II Expansion players to have fatal heart attacks. One player reportedly asked the EMT to "cube [his] War Traveler to elite" before he passed away.

No word on whether the other two players' last words were related to Diablo II.
  • Why did they go with this numbering convention? They didn't number their patches like this with any of the other games, why WarCraft III? Not that it really matters. Except, 1.10 is like the final patch for the other games. Not to mention the fact that I have dial-up and just downloaded 1.06 the other day. Stupid me.

As you will see, I told them, in no uncertain terms, to see Figure one. -- Dave "First Strike" Pare
