Miyamoto's Pac-Man Oddity Gets GC Bundled 30
Thanks to GamerFeed for the news that Shigeru Miyamoto's remake of Pac-Man for GameCube/GBA will make it to consumers through a variety of bundle deals. The title, shown at E3 this year, has "...one player onto a Game Boy Advance and three players on the GameCube. The GBA player plays as Pac-Man, and he or she has a view of the maze similar to the one featured in the classic arcade maze game. The three GameCube players control the ghosts. The ghosts can see only their immediate surroundings, which makes tracking down Pac-Man a bit of a mystery." It's been announced that the GameCube exclusive "...will be packaged with Namco's upcoming [budget re-release] Pac-Man World 2... [and given] to gamers who pre-order the game I-Ninja... [and given to those who] buy the game R: Racing Evolution."

Which, of course, is why it's being packaged in with the other games and not released as a stand-alone product. Myself, I'm not that interested in it-- it's one of those cool ideas that probably really isn't worth $50, but deserves to be played anyway.
Thats... not... right... (Score:2, Insightful)
From what I remember it's the other way around. Pac-Man is on the GBA and the other 3 players use the Gamecube (standard gc controllers) to control the ghosts.
Cool tho, thanks to this bundle, I'll definately be getting R: Racing Evolution when it comes out!

This is a GRRREAT idea. It also finally makes sense out of why the ghosts in Pac-Man were so hopeless at finding you -- there was Fog of War!

Take for instance the Snake/Nibbles game on Time Splitters 2 for the GC. I played that for hours at a time with friends and such.
However, thus far I am NOT impressed with the GBA-GC link-ups. I have not played/used the GBA card scanner, but all of the games I have played with the link (save Splinter Cell) have only shown redundant stats that are easier to check on the GC than the GBA itself!
Hopefully, they will come out with better
