The symptoms of internet addiction mentioned in the article include sleep deprivation, depression, and nervous shaking of the hands. Internet addiction has been an increasing problem in the newly developed nation of China who now has nearly 100 million online users."

After a while, the addicted person simply loses their taste for the online experience.
